Introduction

English Grammar में Articles बहुत महत्वपूर्ण Topic है। Articles छोटे शब्द होते हैं, लेकिन अंग्रेज़ी वाक्य बनाने में इनका बहुत बड़ा महत्व है। अंग्रेज़ी भाषा में मुख्य रूप से तीन Articles होते हैं—A, An और The।

इनमें A और An को Indefinite Articles कहा जाता है, जबकि The को Definite Article कहा जाता है। Articles का प्रयोग किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु, स्थान, जानवर या विचार के बारे में यह बताने के लिए किया जाता है कि हम किसी सामान्य चीज़ की बात कर रहे हैं या किसी विशेष चीज़ की।

उदाहरण:

– I saw a boy.
– She ate an apple.
– The boy was wearing a blue shirt.

पहले वाक्य में a boy का अर्थ है कोई एक लड़का। दूसरे वाक्य में an apple का अर्थ है कोई एक सेब। तीसरे वाक्य में the boy से उस विशेष लड़के की बात हो रही है जिसका पहले उल्लेख किया जा चुका है।
